Savera News

Savera Resource Centre was established in 1990, as a joint initiative between the Health Authority, Social Services and the local community.

The Centre promotes user empowerment in the Asian community and highlights the sucess of community care in a multicultural society. Savera provides a culturally appropriate and sensitive service to all Asian communities taking in factors such as language, religion, gender and culture into consideration. It helps address the stereotypes that exist in relation to mental illness within the Asian community.

In addtion to the scheduled daily activities, each month Savera organises an additional timetable of activities. This gives members something different and exciting to look forward to each month and also enables them to learn and benefit from new experiences.

The newsletter is a chance to explain the work of Savera as well as the activities that are available.
