The Government have announced their intention to 'refresh' the National Carers Strategy - Carers at the heart of 21st century families and communities - before the end of this year to provide a clear plan of action for 2011-2015.

The Government are now seeking views on the key priorities, supported by evidence of good practice, that will have the greatest impact on improving carers' lives in the next four years.

The Department of Health have set out a template for responses  which can be downloaded and used to give your views and are requested by 20 September 2010. Organisations are encouraged to involve carers in formulating their response, as well has hearing directly from carers themselves.
