Mental Health in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland

About the Mental Health Promotion Group

This is a multi-agency partnership covering Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. It was re-established in October 2004.

Primary Purpose of the Group

  • To meet the requirements of the National Service Framework for Mental Health Standard 1 and Making it possible: Improving Mental Health and Well-being in England.
  • To inform and influence key partnerships and providers of services also on the wellbeing agenda.

 

Reporting and Accountability

  • The group is accountable to both the City and the Counties Local Implementation Teams.
  • The group is an oversight partnership group for the Mental Health and Wellbeing priority within the County Local Area Agreement.

  • Carer’s via Rethink and the Carers Community Development Workers in the County Leicestershire Carer’s Action in the County and Genesis/ In Touch in the City.

  • Leicestershire Partnership Trust via Common Mental Health Problems Service
  • Leicestershire Voluntary Sector Partnership representative
