A Place to Grow

Telephone:

A community garden project, which involves developing a piece of waste land into organic vegetable plots, a sensory garden, area for recycling, wildlife conservation and a tree nursery. Aims to provide an alternative therapeutic service away from the more traditional forms of treatment and to reduce the likelihood of people developing mental health difficulties in the first instance. The project achieves this through providing regular gardening groups, cook and eat courses, organic gardening training and qualifications so that people are empowered to start a new career or hobby. A safe, relaxed environment is provided so that people can visit to enjoy the benefits of being outside. Home visits are available.
