A 14 bedded eating disorder unit primarily for the treatment of severe anorexia nervosa.  The unit serves the local population of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland as well as outlying counties.  The programme aims to restore individuals to a healthy weight as well as addressing the psychological/emotional issues contributing to the development and maintentance of the disorder.  The unit is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatric nurses, medical staff and occupational therapists.
