LAMP's Information Service
Much of LAMP’s work centres on good and up to date information. We supply two important tools to help you find out what you need to know: this website and a Directory of mental health services.
The LAMPdirect website holds thousands of pieces of useful information and we hope you can spend time looking around all its pages to see what is available for you.
LAMP produces the Directory of mental health services in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. This is a tool to help service users, carers, and workers find the right information about what support and help might be available to them in the area they live or work in.
However, LAMP can also offer you information in other ways than these and on a more personal level.
If you use one of LAMP’s advocacy services, our advocate will work with you and make sure you are given all the information you need in a way that you can readily understand and refer to.
If you are not receiving a service from LAMP but would like support in finding information about a mental health issue, or diagnosis, or areas of support, or anything relating to mental health service user or carer issues, then you can telephone LAMP (0116 255 6286) and ask us to help you find out what you need to know.
All of LAMP’s staff are able and equipped to offer you information. They will do their best to give you the information you need there and then, or they will find it out for you and get back to you, or they might point you in the right direction to discover it for yourself.
LAMP will do its best to provide information to people with language or disability needs. We can provide information about our services in Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Somali and Urdu (the main locally spoken languages) and we can provide its literature in Braille on request.
