LAMP works primarily with those experiencing mental distress and their carers. So it believes it must be actively involved in consultation and planning to bring about effective service provision within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

LAMP regularly consults with service users and carers, and with its other partners in voluntary and statutory agencies who plan and provide services. It plays a leading part in promoting joint working with other local voluntary sector service providers and has positive partnerships with statutory and independent service agencies.

Despite these levels of close co-operation and involvement, the leadership and delivery style of LAMP is fiercely independent and recovery focused.
