About LAMP

LAMP works for all the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to promote good mental health and to challenge the stigma and social exclusion often associated with evident mental distress.

LAMP believes that those who use mental health services, and their families and friends, should have a say in the way those services are planned and run.

LAMP’s services, which are primarily aimed at people of working of age, include service development, information provision, mental health advocacy, carer advocacy, and service user and carer training and forums.

LAMP is an independent registered charity. It is a company limited by guarantee. Its Board of Trustees have a wealth of expertise in mental health issues - as service users, carers, or service providers.

CLS markLAMP holds the Community Legal Services' Quality Mark and is committed to delivering quality services.
