Pathways to Work is automatically available to people aged between 18 and 60, who are claiming Employment and Support Allowance or Incapacity benefits. It is provided by Jobcentre Plus.

Unless you have a health condition or severe disability which affects your ability to work, you will be expected under this programme to take steps to work or prepare for work. You will also be offered tailored support.

Within the first seven months you will be invited to six work-focused interviews. Attending and taking part in the interviews will be a condition of receving the full amount of benefits.

You will also be able to access the Condition Management Programme - using a cognitive behavioural therapy approach - to help you understand and better manage your condition or disability. This programme is delivered by health professionals on behalf of Jobcentre Plus.
