After 27 October 2008, The Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) replaced Incapacity Benefit and Income Support for all new claimants.

If you are already receiving Incapacity Benefit this will continue as long as you remain eligible.

The Goverment intends to move people who receive Incapacity Benefit will be moved onto the Employment and Support Allowance between 2010 and 2013. More details will be made available in 2010.
