LAMP is an independent voluntary organisation working to promote good mental health for everyone living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

LAMP believes that those who seek or use mental health services and their families and friends, should have a voice in how those services are provided and planned.

LAMP works throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland offering:

• independent mental health advocacy for people seeking to use or using mental health services
• a peer advocacy service for people seeking to use or using mental health services
• professional advocacy service for carers of people affected by mental health issues
• information resources on mental health matters including the lampdirect website and a comprehensive directory of mental health services
• hosting of service user groups, offering group advocacy, support, and training for mental health service users and their carers to find a common voice and shape current and future service provision
