Consultations

Consultation exercises are undertaken for a number of reasons, whether it is to find out how mental health services can be improved, what people think about specific proposals and legislation, or as part of an on-going survey or piece of research.

Listed below are details of consultations that are currently taking place, either locally or nationally. Please note that the consultations are listed by the order in which they are due to be completed. This is to ensure that consultations that are due to end receive priority.

This has been extended to people who lack capacity to concent through the Health and Social Care Act 2008. The government is also reviewing the current exclusions to receiving direct payments for those who are subject to various provisions of mental health legislation in light of the modernisation of mental health law brought about by the Mental Health Act 2007.
